i was fooling around with an extension tube - the poor man's macro lens. i love the texture of the leather in this shot.
taken with a Canon 5D; ISO100, 50mm (with 17mm extension tube), f4.0, 1/200sec, 480 EXII and 580 EXII speedlites fired remotely.

i was in the kitchen getting breakfast ready and my daughter (16 months) came out in her pajamas wearing her rubber boots. i guess she's anxious for spring weather...
i've also been experimenting with our G10 on purpose - but not too happy with the quality - it's fine for casual photos on a sunny day at 100ISO but anything less of that seems to be of poor quality.
taken with a Canon G10; ISO 200, 6.1mm (28mm equivalent), f2.8, 1/125 sec, no flash. edited in Adobe Lightroom 2.5
i've decided to post 2 photos for my first entry: the last picture i took in 2009 and the first picture i took in 2010.
#1: our basement - empty, and now ready for renovations.
taken with a Canon G10. 6.1mm (28mm equivalent), f2.8, 1/125 sec., ISO 400, flash on (medium)#2: the loo
k out the front window - the first thing i saw in 2010 - which is a couple of decorative trees we've left at the curve so they can find a new home.
taken with a Canon G10. 30.5mm (140mm equivalent), f4.5, 1/125 sec., ISO 100, no flash
